About
We're Erin Shellman and Rob Kneisler, an acoustic duo based southeast of Seattle. You'll find us at coffee shops, wine bars, farmers markets, and community stages around Maple Valley: two voices, a warm sound, and a set that fits the room. We each found our way to the Northwest from Michigan, by very different routes, and the songs carry a little of both places.
Erin
Erin sings and plays bass and piano. She's played in bands since she picked up the bass in ninth grade, toured the Midwest singing folk and Americana with Lake Folk, and is finishing a degree in piano performance at Berklee College of Music. She also works as a recording engineer in Seattle.
Her recording and photography work lives at hardbyteproductions.com.
Rob
Rob is a singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist who came to Seattle from Michigan in the mid-90s and has been part of the local acoustic scene ever since. His songs have won a stack of regional songwriting awards, he sang with the maritime trio The Whateverly Brothers, and he curates an annual Bruce Cockburn tribute concert. His debut album, Lift Me Up, reached #35 on the Folk Alliance International Folk Radio Chart in 2020.
